Information about the Course:
Production of high value crops like colored capsicum, other exotic vegetables and flower crops has become an income generating enterprise for the small and marginal farmers under protected conditions like shadenet house and polyhouses. The knowledge and skill required for erection of shadenet and polyhouse and production of high value commercial crops like colored capsicum, flower crops like gerbera, carnation, rose and other exotic vegetable is essential for farmers and rural youths intending to start production under protected conditions. The knowledge of production techniques of exotic vegetables, flowers and other high value crops will help the trainees to start production of these non-seasonal crops and start generating income from these crops on commercial basis and/or undertake the supply of quality planting vegetable seedling material to the farmers. The course will help the entrepreneur to establish shadenet or polyhouse and start commercial production of high value crops.

-Objective and purpose of protected conditions.
-Location requirements, media requirements
-Vegetable seedlings production under protected conditions,
-Cultivation practices of colored capsicum, exotic vegetables and flower crops,
-IPM and INM requirements
-Record keeping and Economics
-Bankable project preparation and Entrepreneurship Development Module.
-Exposure Visits Eligibility:

Outcome
The trainee after undergoing the training will be able to understand the production techniques of high value crops like colored capsicum, exotic vegetables and flower crops under shadenet house or polyhouse. He will be able to either undertake a professional vegetable seedling production for supply of vegetable Seedling or will help him to undertake commercial production of high value crops and earn a profitable income.
