Foreword
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (PIRENS) Babhaleshwar, Dist. Ahmednagar has been in the forefront of Agricultural Technology dissemination process since its inception. It has worked sincerely in line with the objectives and mandates as prescribed by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) New Delhi. The continuous evolution of extension programmes and activities in the light of changing global environment and increasing demand for extension services for the benefit of farmers has rendered the task of KVK more challenging. The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Babhaleshwar, Ahmednagar has performed exceedingly well in paving new pathways for dissemination of technology and provision of various services to the farming community. It has transcended the conventional approach and made a paradigm shift in the technology dissemination process.
The approaches of the KVK in use of Information and Communication Technology, group dynamics, development of various instructional cum demonstration units, Input Supply and Advisory Services have led to effective backstopping for technology dissemination and eventually helped in extending time-critical decision support system for the farming community.
