• Pruning stage
• Rejuvenation of old fruit trees
• Care and management of pruned fruit trees

Information about the Course
Training and pruning is essential practice in fruit crops to increase fruit production. Pruning the fruit trees requires specialized skills and knowledge to initiate flowering and fruiting spurs in fruit crops. The course will impart skills on the knowledge of training and pruning in fruit crops like pomegranate, guava, mango, grapes. The trainee will acquire life skills to generate income from hired skilled operations through training and pruning ranging from 250 to 500/- per day.

Outcome:
The trainee after undergoing the training will be able to undertake pruning and training of fruit trees on contract basis and earn an employment of Rs 250 to Rs 500/- per day. Timely and technically sound pruning and training practices will lead to increase in fruit yield of farmers through skilled pruners.
