Information about the Course:
Rural youths are searching agro-based enterprises for employment generation with less investment and simple technology, Vermicompost and vermiwsah production technology is very good enterprise to the rural youths. As the prices of chemical fertilizers increasing, the farmers are also diverting towards the use of various organic manures and vermicompost which is the best option for them. Vermicompost production can be started with minimum investment as bulk quantities of crop residues are available in the villages There is good market in the rural area itself,

Outcome:
After undergoing the training youth can start the vermicompost production unit on commercial basis and earn good amount of income by selling the vermicompost as an additional enterprise with dairy farming. Some quantity of vermicompost may be used for their own farm, which will save the cost on chemical fertilizers.
