Information about the Course:
Water management is the soul of crop production. With declining water availability and soil degradation, area under micro irrigation is increasing continuously for fruits crops as well as field crops. For efficient working of micro irrigation system its proper design, installation and maintenance are necessary. This course included the design of drip irrigation, installation and its maintenance. This will help trainees to generate employment by taking drip installation contracts. They will get job with micro irrigations dealers.

Outcome:
The knowledge about the design, installation and maintenance of micro imigation system to various crops will help him to get self employment generation as well as to improve his own water use efficiency and yield of crops. Trainees after completion of course will start micro irrigation installation and maintenance services to the farmers. Trainees who are Farmers can also do the maintenance of his own micro irrigation system and extend the life of irrigation system beside efficient irrigation management of the crops
